Smith, Ruth D. on 8/16/10 wife of the late Schuyler B. Smith passed away peacefully at the age of 105. She was born in Brooklyn & lived in Forest Hills until her marriage in 1933. She lived in Rockville Centre until 1986 when she moved to Freedom Village in Bradenton, Fl. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Edwin & Emma Dowse, 3 brothers & 2 sisters & her daughter Gayle Smith Brashears. She is survived by her son Schuyler & wife Patricia, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren & her brother Henry. Friends may call Monday from 10 AM to 12 N. at Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home 20 Lincoln Avenue Rockville Centre. Service will take place at the funeral home with interment to follow at Greenfield Cemetery.
