Obituary of Frank E. Yannelli

Honorable Frank E. Yannelli of Rockville Centre on October 3, 2022.  Loving Husband of the late Roberta.  Devoted father of Chris (Marissa), Michael (Nicole) and the late Thomas (Shelia).  Caring Opa to Caroline, Alex, Madison, Zachary, Dylan and Keira. Beloved brother of Jane Rinn (Greg).

Frank started practicing law in 1964 and would continue to do so for close to 50 years.  For many years he served the Village of Rockville Centre as a Village Prosecutor and in 1982 he was elected to the position of Rockville Centre Village Justice where he served for 25 years.  Judge Yannelli was well respected throughout the village and county and held numerous positions in the law community.  He was the Past President of the Nassau County Bar Association, Past President of the Criminal Courts Bar Association and the Past President of the Nassau County Magistrates Association.  Throughout his career Frank was recognized by numerous organizations for the work he provided to the public and the courts and he had received awards from the following organizations: Nassau County Court Officers Benevolent Association, Criminal Courts Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Schenectady County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the Catholic Lawyers Guild.

Frank also served the on the Rockville Centre Economic Opportunity Council, Rockville Centre Zoning Board of Appeals and was board member of CONFIDE.

Visitation will take place on Sunday October 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday October 17, 2022 at 9:45 AM at St. Agnes Cathedral with interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery.
