Lapkowski – Kathleen E., (nee Shannon) 68, of Rockville Centre, passed away on July 18, 2025. Beloved wife of Michael F. Lapkowski, Sr. Devoted Mother to Kerri Kudlek, and Michael and Christopher Lapkowski. Cherished Nana to Riley and Kaylee Kudlek and  Charlotte Lapkowski.

Kathy’s greatest joy was spending time with those she loved most—especially her grandchildren. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines at their games or simply enjoying an afternoon together, she never missed a moment to be present in their lives. She was also survived by her four siblings where she was the glue that held them together. Her warmth, smile, and boundless love were felt by all who knew her. Kathy was a proud native of Rockville Centre, working at the local hospital where she was a dedicated and beloved employee for 20 years. She was happily involved in many community activities throughout her life, including the Rockville Centre Fire Department alongside her husband of 49 years. 

Family and friends may visit at Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home, 20 Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY 11570 on July 23rd from 7-9pm, July 24th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Agnes Cathedral on July 25th at 10:45am.
