Daniel Mahoney, 78, of Oceanside, NY, was tragically taken from us in a sudden and unforeseen event. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, Daniel lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and deep love for his family.

Beloved husband to Susan Mahoney, Daniel was a proud and loving father to Stacey Mahoney (Charles Ott), Brenden Mahoney (Lori Friedman Mahoney), and Patrick Mahoney (Diana Marano Mahoney). He was a cherished grandfather to Olivia and Chloe with whom he shared countless joyful memories. Daniel is survived by his loving and dear sisters Lynne Duffy, Maureen Chase, Mary Casty and Joanie Mahoney.

Daniel served his country with honor as a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his military service, he dedicated many years to his work with Local 28, where he was respected for his integrity, commitment, and craftsmanship.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—swimming, biking, and spending time with his beloved family. Daniel’s sudden loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home, 20 Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 9:45 AM at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Oceanside, NY.

Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Old Westbury.
