Dolores A McElroy, 96, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, passed away on October 11th in Rosemount Minnesota.

Dolores was born in Queens, New York to Robert and Bertha Reichler on April 2nd, 1929. She worked as a Teacher Aide at Hemlock Park Elementary School in Brentwood New York for 27 years. She was also a Licensed Beautician for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool at the Senior Center, gardening, and being a grandma.

Dolores is survived by her sons, John (Deborah) and Robert (Eileen), grandchildren Brendan, Kelly, Bobby, Daniel, & Megan, and loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John.

Visitation will be held at Thomas A Glynn & Son Funeral Home, Rockville Centre on October 16th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of Saint Joseph on October 17th at 9:45am with Father Hilary Nwajagu and Deacon Jack McKenna officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Accent Care Home Hospice for their loving care during her final days.
