Antoinette “Ann” Bache, 98, a longtime and much-loved resident of Valley Stream, New York, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, surrounded by the love she so generously gave throughout her life.

Ann was the beloved wife of Carl Bache and a devoted mother to Robert Bache (Barbara Bache), Karen Hamilton (Tom Hamilton), and Lois Tinghitella (John Tinghitella). Her greatest joy was her family. She was a cherished grandmother to Kristin Fulgieri, Holly Finnegan, Kerry Preston, Mark Hamilton, Michael Tinghitella, Danielle Tinghitella, and Nicole Tinghitella, and a proud great-grandmother to Noelle Fulgieri, Christian Fulgieri, Bradley Finnegan, Harrison Finnegan, and Adelaide Preston.

She was predeceased by her brothers Michael, Joseph, James, and Franklin Arenella. Ann was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and a loyal, caring friend to countless others whose lives were brighter for knowing her.

Ann lived a life rooted in kindness, generosity, and service. She freely volunteered her time to hospitals, the B.P.O.E. Elks, and her church, always eager to help wherever she was needed. She found happiness in simple pleasures—cooking and baking for those she loved, playing cards and mah-jong, sewing, organizing social events for large extended family and friends/neighbors - sharing laughter around the table. Her warmth, patience, and gentle spirit will be remembered always.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Valley Stream, New York. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, New York.
