Marceline Staub Obituary

Marceline Faye Staub, 94, longtime resident of South Hempstead, NY died peacefully in her sleep February 13, 2026.


Born in Morrow County Ohio on June 19, 1931 she was the daughter of Grace and Albert Addison of Mount Gilead Ohio.


Marcie is a graduate of Mount Gilead High School and attended Miami of Ohio University. 


She moved to New York City where she met Fred Staub. They were married March 1, 1958 and made their home at 24 West 87th Street. 


In 1960 they moved to Webber Ave South Hempstead where they spent the following 66 years raising a family and retiring in South Hempstead.


Marcie enjoyed playing cards with her life long friends and playing bridge at the Rockville Centre links. Marcie and Fred travelled extensively overseas and in the United States. She took many trips abroad with neighbors and friends. She also enjoyed spending winters in Palm Springs, California. 


“Marcie” is survived by her husband Fred, her 3 sons Mark, Lance and Scott, daughter in law Nancy Staub and former daughter in law Susan Staub, 5 grand children Morgan, Sunset Beach NC, Calvin, Austin, Texas, Austin Statesville, NC, Rebekah, Lakewood Colorado, and Skylar Statesville, North Carolina.


Marcie leaves behind 4 great grandchildren Addilynn,Thomas, Maddox, and Anthony. 


The family will hold a reception on Wednedsay from 3:00 PM to 6 :00 PM at the South Hempstead Fire Department Fire House.
