
Obituary of Ellen J. Sullivan
Ellen J. Sullivan, age 96, passed away March 28 at home surrounded by her loving family. Ellen was born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Great Neck LI. She was the oldest child of Ella and Joseph O’Grady. A resident of Rockville Centre for 65 years, she is survived by her beloved children, Ellen Moleno and her husband Ben, Paul Sullivan and his wife Mary, Kevin Sullivan and his wife Mary, Pat Kriss and her husband Steve, and Kathy Jordan and her husband Charlie. Cherished grandmother to Kristine (Corey) Frank; Matthew, Michael (Kellie) and Jeanette Sullivan; Katie (Conor) McDonald, Emily (Morgan de Jong) and Kevin Sullivan; Joellen (Justin) Kriss-Broubalow, Kieran, Daniel and, Emma Kriss; and Kevin (Emily), Katherine and Connor Jordan. She was also great grandma to 6 adorable children! Ellen was a loving and devoted wife to Paul J.Sullivan, for over 44 years and remained so, keeping his memory alive for the 27 years since his passing. Ellen graduated from Cortland Teachers College and worked as a teacher in the Franklin Square School District prior to having her family. She was active in the community as a member of the Nassau Women's League, St. Agnes Mother's Club, St. Agnes Rosary Altar Society, and served on the St. Agnes Elementary School Board, bowling leagues and bridge groups. Ellen most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at her East Marion home and Malibu beach,travel and a glass of Moscato!
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family at Glynn's Funeral Home, Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre, on Tuesday April 6th from 4-8 PM; funeral services will take place at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre on Wednesday, April 7th at 9:45 AM.
