Obituary of Florence Zoeller
We joyfully celebrate the life of Florence Zoeller, born on December 30, 1948 and joining the angels and saints on December 3, 2021…. Her zeal for life and love of Saint Theresa, the Little Flower provided the strength needed to be blessed with a double lung transplant in 2013. We thank her donor for those eight years of joy and happiness including many birthdays, softball and soccer games and dance recitals. Always providing for others she was a long time member of St. Agnes Cathedral serving as an Extra Ordinary Minister and Religious Ed Instructor. Florence was a leader of Girl Scouts and took an active role in the Cub Scouts. It was through providence that she met her husband Richard of forty-eight years while both working at Con Edison. Both enjoyed many cruises and journey through the states. Florence is predeceased by her parents John and Anne Gallagher, her son Christopher and grandson Bravin. Florence is survived by her husband Richard, son Richard Jr and his wife Jessica and daughter Melissa Stender and her husband Kevin. The joys of her life, three beautiful and dearest granddaughters Kerry Ann, Kathryn Mary and Theresa Florence. Her siblings Ann, Glenna, Frank and Jack as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home located at 20 Lincoln Av Rockville Centre, NY. Services will be at 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00. Mass will be held at St. Agnes Cathedral on Monday at 10:45 a.m. with entombment at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.
