Donald Colwell passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on May 7, 1937, and was predeceased by his parents, John and Edna Colwell and Brother-In-Law Donald Runacres. Donald is survived by his loving companion Linda McCartney, siblings Kathleen Runacres and Jack Colwell, and Margaret Colwell, mother of their five children.

Donald was the proud and loving father of Denise Colwell-Schwartz, Kathy Chianese (Greg), Nancy Quinn (Rick), Tracey Callagy, Jacquelyn Giarrizzo (John) and adoring grandfather of Talia, Jeremy, Harrison, Taylor, Pearce, Sandra, Julia, Douglas, and Sarah-Kate.

Donald was loved, admired, and respected by all who knew him.

As the proprietor of the East Point Inn, Donald had a passion for work and was devoted to the hundreds of employees who were honored to have worked for him and with him. He could always be counted on for a quick-witted reply, a great story, a funny joke or to share a tidbit of wisdom. He was a man who could do it all and he certainly did. He was a talented and honest businessman and was generous beyond measure. Donald was a Master Class teacher before it was a thing.

Dad, you made it easy to love you and it was heaven here with you too.
