I loved June. We ended up being two of the few "oldsters" left from the golf club. Going back 35-45 years. June and Bert and Walter and I had many fun times playing golf together followed by delicious dinners at the club. When our husbands passed away, we still had fun at golf (June was a much better player than me). We always kept in touch. We both were in Florida in the winter, but she was on the east coast and me the west. The golf club was always our meeting place even as time went on and we only met to have dinner. I will greatly miss our telephone calls of late as I am now 95 and we were over an hour apart from one another.
thanks to my friend, Bethany, I did get over to see her quite a few times.
Rest In Peace, June.
Love, Hazel
