To Bud’s family, I first met Bud in 1975 when I took his course on Therapeutic Recreation at St Joseph’s College off site program. I was with three other people and we enyoyed the experience. He introduced us to many new aspects of this subject. Fast forward to 2007. I joined Sportset and at some point soon after, several of us were in Bud’s class. I did mention that I had taken his course. To this day, we talk about the fun we had even though we were exercising. Bud always came with Jokes which we laughed about but we also were being taught about preventing falls and improving balance for which I’m very grateful. Around the holidays, we would go to a diner or restaurant as a group and once, to a bar. Everyone of us was profoundly impacted by losing him. He was a very caring, kind man, a great teacher and most of all, a true gentleman, With my deepest sympathy. Pat Novak

I met Bud In april of two thousand thirteen and enjoyed a wonderful friendship with him Until Learning of his passing this morning. Bud was recommended to me As a great choice for a personal trainer after I was released from Long Island Jewish hospital. I Had just completed rehab program after suffering massive Congenital heart failure Amongst many other things that we Shared WasWas a passion for softball Wellness And the state of the world at large. Many is the day we spent On the long beach boardwalk Where Bud Pushed me with love Laughter And persistence to recover from an injury that few have survived. His jokes Were so unbelievably Corny made me laugh every time. Why did the witch refuse to Bring her broom to the halloween party... Because she was afraid to fly off the handle. Why didn't the ghost go to the halloween party.... Because he had nobody to go with. We Walked and trained on that boardwalk 2 3 4 times a week in all kinds of weather For many years And whenever we met someone. That Bud new it was always the same big smiles, Love In the air Always adding My day is better. NoW that I'm met you. There is so much more in my heart. I miss him fiercely.

Buddy was one of the finest washtub players in RVC. He was an intergral member of RVC's Park Ave Dixie band for over fifteen years.It should have been illegal to experince all the fun we had. He was always up and a pleasure to be with. God knows the number of summer jobs he was instumental in for RVC kids. Our condolences go out to his family. He was one of the good guys and will be sorely missed. Tom Kelly

Bud was a wonderful guy. I was part of his Senior Health and Wellness group at SportSet Fitness Center in Rockville Centre. He was very smart and well-informed trainer able to know the capabilities and limitations of his senior classes. He will be missed.
