Obituary of José Rafael Gabriel

Jose Gabriel, 51-years-old, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. Jose was born on November 26, 1966 in New York to Mercedes and Jose Gabriel.

As a child, he possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout his life he maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many.  His signature gift of joy, shown through his constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.  He met his wife, Nancy, while out to dinner with two cousins.  The couple married two years later on December 22, 2004 in the Bronx; they completed each other.  Their main goal was to make each other happy and in that endeavor they shared thirteen years of married bliss.  However, that happiness was not complete until the arrival of their two beautiful children, Izabella and Mattias. His family became his life and passion; he was doting to them in every way.

Jose always showered his mother with the tender love of a single child. His love for his mother had no bounds.  While his mother was his strength while growing up, he was hers in his years as an adult. 

Possessing a true helper’s heart, Jose faithfully cared for family and friends by any means.  With a real zest for life, Jose loved to race cars and was an enthusiast of exotic cars.  

There is one quote that encapsulates Jose’s life:  “The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are, but how happy others can be because of you.” Jose thank you for making everyone who knew you happy.
