Obituary of Cornell Traxler

Cornell Traxler was born on Monday, June 29, 1959 in East Meadow, New York to Norma Jean Traxler
and the late Donald Webster Hill, Sr. His grandmother, Ms. Josie Mae Traxler, played an active role of
parenting in most of his life as well.
He spent his early years and was educated in the public school systems of Richmond, Virginia and
Rockville Centre, New York. Cornell was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia.
He served in the army in an Infantry Unit from 1977 through 1983 when he received an Honorable
discharge. His decorations and medals included recognition as a Sharpshooter with weapons.
Cornell was an avid worker in whatever task in which he engaged in the field of Contracting and
Maintenance. He was employed as the Superintendent at Rockville Centre Housing Authority and at
the Church of the Transfiguration in Freeport.
He leaves to mourn his Mother, Norma Jean Traxler, Grandmother, Josie Mae Traxler,
Sisters, Theresa Traxler (Eric), Donna Lynn Hardeman,
Brother, Donald Hill, Jr., Aunt Sabrina Robinson, Niece Ashley Rhodes, Nephew Justin Rhodes,
and a host of cousins, Sheara Jean Bridges, Sandy Alexander, Charles Alexander, Jr.,
Steven Alexander, Cory Alexander, Destiny Alexander, Charli Rose Alexander,
Prince Charles Alexander, Dakota Alexander, Melanie Traxler, Michael Poulson,
Byron Eason, Dominique Eason, Sheila Traxler, Daniel Davenport, Shakira Davenport,
Stacey Butler, Jazalyn Traxler, Jalaney Traxler, Terrel Traxler, Nova-Analise Moore,
AvaRose Grace, Sheamer Bridge, Tyree Hughes, Zadokite Hughes and special niece
little Kaylee Monroe Reynolds.
