Virgil C. Crist, 89 years of age of Sarasota, Florida; Rockville Centre, New York; Indian Lake, NY and Basking Ridge, NJ. Virgil C. Crist was born on May 11, 1930 in Florida, New York and spent most of his childhood growing up in Greenwich Village, NYC. Virgil served his Country in the Army during the Korean War and after two years overseas he returned home and put himself through City College on the Federal G.I. Bill, earning his Degree in Electrical Engineering. An avid golfer & singer, and passionate about the outdoors, he often spent time with family and friends at his home in the Adirondack Park (Indian Lake, NY). He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean; his sons Paul, Richard, David and Jonathan; his two daughter in Laws, Phyllis and Kathleen, and his grandchildren Bryan, Kelsey, Alie, Danny, Alison, Stephen, Claudia, James, Neal and step granddaughter Elizabeth. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to one of the following organizations: Community Care Hospice/Community Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset County , Somerville, NJ, www.communityvna.org The Seeing Eye, Inc, Morristown, NJ, www.seeingeye.org
