Robert was my neighbor in Valley Stream for the past 30 years....with my office in the next building at 99 West Hawthorne Ave. I first met Bob 20 years ago when coming to work in a snow storm...to find him outside shoveling snow.I complemented him for his efforts to "do things himself", for that was the way I always believed was the best way of getting things done right!
For many years after I used to catch him at the car show in Lido Beach...where he always took a moment to say hello to "a neighbor" of his!
The last time I saw/spoke to him was about a year ago while he was at the Astoria Savings Bank near his building. We chatted about the national election results and were anxious to see the hoped for improvements in Federal government the newly elected Trump would make!
May he rest in peace!!!
